Welcome Truman Patrick Dinon!!!
Well it was a whirlwind morning today, but Truman has arrived. He proved to be an acrobat already and decided to make things interesting by being breached. This forced a c-section, but Wendy and I think he was just listening to his Papa Pat and wanted to be claimed on our taxes. Truman was born at 5:04 am, weighed 7lbs and 1 oz., and was 18 inches long.

More Christmas
It was so dear, on Christmas Eve Milly was really excited to leave Santa cookies and milk (she also wanted to leave him a hairbrush). She carefully picked out a variety of cat cookies and peppermint joey o's, then she held a glass while MIke Santa (Mike) made such a little mess on the plate, maybe (most likely) it's my out of control hormones but I was very impressed by the messy cookie plate. Really, I thought about how cute it was all day today. Anyway Milly's Rose Petal Cottage was a huge hit to say the least, hopefully it'll keep her happy while transitioning into being a big sister. Now if only Truman would get here before I go certifiably insane...
We had a great Christmas and Christmas Eve at my Parent's house, Milly opened more presents and ate the most chocolate ever. But the thing she enjoyed the most was my Mom reading her Horton Hears A Who, the classic book by Dr. Seuss. If you don't already know elephants are Milly's favorite (a close second, penguins), so the whole Horton series is right up her alley.

Christmas, er Halloween and Christmas songs
Nana Sue thought it'd be cute for Mil to wear her Christmas dress and sing Christmas songs while videoed so that all of her relatives in CA could watch. Milly, however, had another idea. She wanted to wear her favorite striped 'gown' that Nana Sue bought her at H&M for her grand performance. Regardless of her attire, it's a great execution of classic Holiday songs.

Turkey Day, Everyday
We had a great Thanksgiving, despite a clogged sink and my frequent urination (that would be Truman reminding us of his presence). Milly was enamored by the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, sadly as was Mike when the Rockettes preformed. But when it came time for us to load up the car and head to my Mom's house, Mil was the grumpiest girl ever. Which accounts for these pictures.
Countdown to Truman, only a month left!

Mike, keeper of the Pengs
I'm not quite sure what it is - the lack of hair, webbed feet, or innate ability to eat their food in a single gulp, but Mike and the Penguins have this special something. Now it is captured for an eternity on video, this connection I've personally witnessed many times over the years yet held no proof until now.
Stocking Underwear
Milly's favorite. She is officially, or rather I am officially, ready for her to be ready to dump the pull-ups. Hmm, if that makes sense. Anyway she is doing amazing sans pull-ups, we've done the tinkling tour this last week, visiting (and tinkling) in every potty in Tacoma. Milly of course has her favorites, the bathroom at PSP has earned her approval via a shark poster hanging on the door, Trader Joes is on the list because of the lighthouse statue in the bathroom, and Starbucks is naturally a favorite because of the coffee (hot cocoa) she gets beforehand. We went to the zoo this weekend, forgoing our responsibilities around the house, like laundry and fence staining. We threw caution to the wind, laughed at domestic duties as we chased Milly towards the elephants and let her go down the slide as many times as she pleased. And Mike, bless his heart, was willing to participate in family activities despite his aching eye and sore shoulder. That is real dedication, I mean his shoulder and eye were REALLY sore.

Another Birthday, Number 3
I can not believe, just as I couldn't the last two birthdays, how fast Milly is growing up. Thanks to all the people who showed up at Milly's birthday, helping to make it, what I'm sure she considers, an extremely special day. I don't know if the pictures quite capture the exuberance she radiated while wearing her princess dress and enjoying an elaborate party with her friends and family.

Princess Reality
So Milly is obviously really, really into princesses this year. I never thought that an offspring of mine (or especially Mike) would love Disney so much, or that I would also be suckered in, but low and behold (somehow) a princess castle cake was ordered from our local bakery for Mil's birthday. I have an inkling it could be due to the pure heart wrenching tug that Milly's pleading face had on my Mom and I when she saw the princess castle cake. She's been debating over which princess to be for her party, or Halloween too for that matter. Luckily we have representatives all over who are willing to go above and beyond to make sure Milly gets the best princess dress possible. Take the dress she's wearing in the video, sent priority mail directly from none other than Mil's devoted Nana Sue. I can say this dress is definitely the winner, the Nana's and the Ma's can stop running all over town searching for Belle, Aurora and Ariel in size two. Now if we could only decide which size in this particular dress....
Hmm, lets try this again.
Milly and the smallest, newest Gordon. Really, who would have guessed a bona fide pumpkin patch would be CLOSED on the nicest day, just a little over a week before Halloween? Well at least we got to take a few pictures, and this video. Please enjoy if you are able to actually view it.
