Today Milly successfully peed on the potty, but only after a very special Clean Pants Dance where she grabbed her butt and danced bottomless around the kitchen. I think she learned this from Mike.

Milly's Room
Finally, Milly's room is in some sort of order. Mike's paint looks good, and my curtain rod hanging skills....ehh, let's just say the actual curtain panel covers the extra holes I made. I was going to include some new pictures of Milly as well, after all this is HER blog, but she's not in a mood to get her picture taken, she actually told me this. So, til next time.

A Yard For Milly
Gardening With The Tiniest
Finally, FINALLY, I bought Milly a flower to plant. She has been asking for weeks and weeks, ever since watering plants at Nana Sue's house in CA. Milly fell in love with a large lavender plant at Trader Joes yesterday, she informed everyone that would listen that it was her plant, "NOT Mama's". Of course Milly's favorite part of the planting process was actually watering the plant, something that didn't go without a few messes. Anyway we are looking forward to planting more plants, and our sod, as the summer approaches.

The Tacoma Reindeers, I mean Rainiers.
Today Milly attended her first baseball game ever, and what a great time we had! As soon as we reached the stadium, Milly's knew something exciting was going on, she was watching all the people, taking in all the excitement that was in the air. MIlly's favorite part of the game was watching the Rainier's mascot, Rhubarb the Reindeer, dance and engage the crowd. She referred to Rhubarb as the Daddy Reindeer, in fact that was the thing she asked him when she finally got to see him up close. With a pure stroke of luck, as we walked back from the bathroom during the fifth inning Mike caught a foul ball for Milly that had fallen from the roof behind home base. So exciting for Milly, and even more exciting that she got Rhubarb to autograph it! In case anyone is wondering, Milly is a huge baseball fan now. I'm confident that we'll attend many more Rainier games this year as a family, and I'm equally as confident that next time we'll eat BEFORE we go as the food is way too expensive.

Tough Lessons
Poor MIlly was so excited about helping Mike paint her room today. After we bought the paint yesterday, she awoke from her nap telling me she NEEDED a paint brush, and that she was ready to paint. She also told me that she wanted to paint her hands and ABCs on the wall. When the actual time to paint rolled around this morning, Milly was sadly disappointed to learn that her Dad was not going to let her help in the way she had previously envisioned. Mike put some paint on a mini roller, thinking Milly would like to paint the wall with it, however Milly was sad to see that she was not going to be able to dip the roller in the big tempting bucket of paint the way she wanted. Notice her stern expression in the pictures. Poor Milly, she was also disheartened to learn she couldn't rub her hands all over the finished walls.
Anyway, the room looks beautiful, another great paint job from Mike. Who said he wasn't handy? Oh wait, it was me.

Easter Pictures and Pigs Don't Fly Mamma....
Yesterday Milly stopped by the Toy Store on the way to the movies. She spotted this tiny toy pig which she had to have. So we bought her the little pig and went to the movies. After we finished the movie it was discovered that Milly had lost her little pig. Wendy tried to comfort her by telling her that the little pig had flown back to the toy store to be with the other pigs and that we could stop by and pick it up. Milly then proceeded to explain to Wendy that pigs can't fly, and told her about the time she saw a little boy let go of a balloon and it flew away, not the pig mamma....Today Milly is getting ready for her Easter Pictures with her new dress.
