Long overdue, T's room
Truman's room isn't totally complete, but it's together enough for him to sleep and play in. You know, I truly miss our second bedroom at the condo, it was such a perfect space for a baby. I mean, T's room isn't horrible, but it's such an odd shape...I just remember Milly's room at the condo being the ultimate nursery.
T's first time in a high chair, out to eat...

Hello?
Also on the fist day of Mil's school, T sat up from a crawling position for the first time. I secretly think that LIsa, or Judah rather, was drilling Truman on this particular move during the hour or so Lisa babysat. But I left Truman on the floor, went to the kitchen and came back to see him sitting up, chewing on the phone.
First day of school!
So Mil's first day of school was rushed, Mike thought it was somehow a good idea to take the checkbook to work, when I needed a check to pay for Mil's first month of school. Hmm, it was awful. There was a lot of sweating. As if Milly's first day of school wasn't stressful/emotional enough, without the worry of being late. As I didn't realize Mike took the checkbook until minutes before I had to leave, on my way to Lisa's house to drop off Truman.
Fast forward, after T is dropped off and school tuition is paid.
I was horrified to leave Milly by herself at school, and at first she seemed scared to be left also. But soon, she was distracted by the other kids and I made a hasty exit. I felt awful. I didn't give her a proper hug and kiss before I took off, I merely motioned to her teacher that I was leaving. I seriously felt like the worst Mom as I drove away, but I knew that if I went back in there to make a big show of saying goodbye she wouldn't want me to go, and it would just cause unnecessary dramatics. And the whole point of her going to preschool is to learn to be more independent right? I was worried about her for the next two and a half hours. Was she crying? Was she wondering where I went? Did she remember to go tinkle (I left her an extra change of clothes in her backpack)? Was she going to want to go back to school? Those two and a half hours went by extremely slow, painfully slow.
But luckily when I went to pick her up, she was neither sad or upset with me for leaving her. She was so excited to see my Mom, T and I! I was excited to receive her small envelope of cuttings that she did in class. She LOVED school and talked all about her teachers, and fellow classmates. Her teacher said she did great, she didn't cry and went potty several times on her own.
