Spring is almost here!

Without counting today, we have been having the most awesome weather. It's unbelievable really. We've been going outside without our coats on, and it feels fantastic. Mil and I have been discussing gardening plans, and we've been doing some work on the yard.

My Mom watched the kids today while Mike and I went to Mil's conference. Milly's teacher assured us that she's totally ready for kindergarten next year, and had nothing but glowing things to say about her. Mil is such a great kid and Mike and I are incredibly lucky to be her parents. Mike finally agreed to let Mil watch Jurassic Park, which really, was a huge deal. She's been crazy into dinosaurs for the past oh, year or so, but both Mike and I are careful about what she watches on TV and Jurassic Park seemed a bit too scary for her. She's been bugging us about watching it ever since she got a sneak peak when we were in CA. It's a huge departure from Disney movies and Sprout. But she did really good, and we talked at length about the fact that the movie wasn't real. And it's funny, Jurassic Park is so old, it seemed almost cheesy. It's not nearly as frightening as some of the movies out now. I always feel really bad for small kids who are allowed to watch movies and televisions meant for adults. I know that Mil is incredibly sensitive, and I would never want scary images that she didn't understand keeping her up at night.

Truman is such a man, he LOVES cars. LOVES them. Every car, all kinds of cars. And he's been really into eating apples lately, he only likes them sliced with the skin on. He is very picky about how his apples are prepared. He's made a few little friends at our bi-monthly cooking classes, there are two little boys in particular that he is very fond of. The cooking classes are held at the neighborhood office, and T loves playing with the fax machine and running from room to room while we're cooking. It's also cute when T gives his special kisses. He likes to kiss everything before he goes to bed, including B and his favorite cars. It's funny because Mil was, and still is, attached to her cuddle toys when taking a nap or going to bed, while T could care less about cuddle toys. He has a few special blankets he likes to cuddle with, but absolutely will not tolerate any type of stuffed animal in his crib. I even got him a soft cuddly Lighting McQueen, and nope, he was not going to sleep with that thing in his bed. It's fascinating, the differences between T and Mil.

Boris is wrinkly as ever. Mike and Mil took him to a do-it-yourself doggie was a few weekends ago. It was cheaper than getting him a bath at our vet, but B had a reaction to the soap, so factoring in the cost of his vet visit for the reaction, it was MORE than a regular bath at the vet. But B's been loving the weather too. I have been horrid about picture taking, but I do have a few pictures from our visit to the dog park last weekend.

Hopefully it won't be three months before my next post :)
