I dig Dino Dig.

Mil and Juniper were insanely excited about the Dino Dig play day at the Learning Sprout. The Learning Sprout always has fun play days, but this one was particularly fun since each kid got a dinosaur in a fossilized egg they had to chip away at. Mil was super slow and careful while extracting her dinosaur from it's egg, Truman however just smashed his egg and his dino was revealed in mere seconds.

Treasure Walk and Train Ride

It has been a super busy day already, PLUS it's Mike's first true day off in forever. We all got up early today and went to breakfast so Mike could watch soccer. We went to Paddy Coyne's, and lets just say we were reminded of why we stopped going there and started going to Masa. But after breakfast we took T on a train (light rail) ride. Oh my goodness, he was insanely excited. I can't imagine how excited he's going to be when we take him to see Thomas next month.

Our neighborhood was having a Treasure Walk today, there were seven stations set up all around Salishan, and after you got a sticker on your 'passport' you got a free t-shirt. It was really well done and fun for the kids. At each station a different nationality from here is Salishan talked a bit about their culture. PLus there was face painting, popcorn, water, snacks and fun favors for the kids from our brand new Community Health center. Really really fun. I think all together the walk was 1.1 miles. Truman almost lasted the whole way, but he and Boris had to take a rest at home before Mil and I hit the last station. So much fun, Mil and I helped with the station at our association office after we got our shirts. I know some of you, and especially Mike and I were skeptical about buying a house here in Salishan when we were first thinking about it, but now four years later, I have no regrets. I love our neighborhood and the sense of community I feel here, it's especially neat to watch T and Mil play with all the kids from our cooking class. Sure, there are problems in our neighborhood, as with EVERY neighborhood, but special events like this Treasure Walk, make me realize how happy I am that we do live here.

Jim's U-FISH

Mil's last day of school is this Friday, and her class went on it's last field trip yesterday. I went with Milly ( T was at the Doctor with Mike), actually most of the parents accompanied their kids. It was a great time, and such a neat place that we went, Jim's U-FISH, which is actually close to my Mom's house. All of the kids got to go fishing, walk around the ponds and flowers, check out the animals in the barn, and then finally horseback riding. It was a nice ending to the year. Mike and I were unsure, but Mil is going to continue on at her current school. I love her school, I feel confident and safe dropping her off each day. I'm excited for Mil to start kindergarden in the fall.

Bully Takeover 5/31

Of course I forgot my camera, these pictures of bully butt are from Mike's phone. It was a very, very muddy time. Especially for Truman who thought it would be a good idea to take off his shoes in the middle of the dog park, in the mud. And then Boris who thought the muddy water was good to drink. Sigh. Gotta love those guys.
