Literally. Things have been crazy around here, as I'm sure any of you who have visited us have noticed (Did our laundry room actually move downstairs? Is it proper for Milly to be wearing pajamas all day, two days in a row? Is Mike supposed to smell like that? And really, when was the last time I actually washed my hair?). But at the same time we have been having so much fun finding our niche as a four unit family. Routines are starting to be formed, and the impossible excitement I found in getting out of the house to grocery shop in the earlier weeks is diminishing. Who knew browsing the specialty cheese case could bring such happiness? Or that I could get my fill of adult interaction by chatting with the lady at the deli counter.
Truman is getting so big, six weeks old tomorrow. He was smiling at Mike and Mil yesterday as I made dinner. MIlly is slowing adjusting to becoming a big sister, she deals with the changes by singing lots of Christmas songs and constantly talking about when she was a baby. Like she reminded me that when she was a baby she never cried, she only talked. And when she was a baby she slept in her own room, NOT in a co-sleeper like Truman in our room. Ahh, I didn't have the heart to tell she was wrong on both accounts.
