Show-n-tell

As long as the calendar for Mil's preschool has been out, about a month, she has been counting down the days until the pet Show-n-tell day. At her conference Milly's Teacher was telling me that everyday Milly wants to countthe days on the calendar until that exciting pet day at school. Originally Milly wanted to bring Boris and our two cats. For anyone that has met our cats, can you imagine? But we were going to bring Boris, but his few surgeries last week have left him a bit on the tired side. Plus I didn't want him to scare any of the kids, as he is already 30 pounds and would have loved to give all the kids a dose of his Bully Love. So my Mom brought Emmitt. All the kids were super excited, as well as Mil. Emmitt loved all the adoration from the preschool class.

Mil and T have been doing great. T is becoming quite the little troublemaker. He loves to go around the house like a tornado and throw anything he can get his hands on to the floor for Boris to chew up. Boris is more than happy to oblige to this fun toddler game. I, obviously, despise this game. Milly has been a great help with the dog, she regularly picks up his toys and tells me if he's up to anything naughty if I'm making dinner or changing T's diaper. Both the kids have been FANTASTIC eaters lately, I mean unbelievably fantastic. I made this Mexican Lasagna last week after a very long day with the kids, I was expecting to have to make mac and cheese with the kids dismissal of my lasagna, but I was so pleasantly surprised that they ate it up, and even had seconds. It made an unbearable day totally worth it. I think the fact that T is a big eater helps Mil eat better.

Boris is still the greatest dog, even after a month. He has his moments, but they are few and far between. He is the perfect dog for us, he adores the kids, doesn't require a ton of activity and had so much love to give. He patiently waits for the kids to come downstairs in the morning, then bathes them in Bully Kisses. Oliver still hates Boris, but it's getting slightly better. Chloe life has actually improved with our adoption of Boris. Oliver is spending so much time trying to attack Boris that he doesn't have time to harass her. Chloe still routinely comes downstairs after the kids go to bed and sits on the couch getting pets from Mike and I, she seems really at ease with Boris. Boris is recovering nicely from his eye surgery, his eye is still swollen, but it's looking better.

Ooh, my time is up the kids are done with breakfast and T wants to continue his game of tornado.....
